Ponta Beach House is only 1 km away from the town centre of Ponta Do Ouro in the direction of Ponta Malongane. It is less than 30 minutes drive from the Kosi Bay border post.

Ponta Beach House offers six bedrooms, two of which include en-suite’s. There are two other family bathrooms. There is an upstairs and a downstairs lounge/living area and a spacious open plan dining room and kitchen. One of the bedrooms is a stand-alone en-suite cottage. A very large wrap-around deck offers adequate shade and sunny areas.  The deck surrounds a swimming pool with plenty room for sun lounges, hammocks, outside dining table and braai area.

The house is characterised by beautiful open, light spaces. The kitchen, living room, and dining area are all in one spacious area giving you and your guests room to relax, unwind, and entertain daily during your stay. Serene and bright with beach themed decor, our beach house sets the stage for fun days spent on the beaches and exploring the area as well as the many restaurants Ponta has to offer. Alternatively chilling at the house and lazing on the vast deck area with swimming pool.

A number of the bedrooms, as well as the living areas, are sea-facing assuring that guests can fall asleep to the sound of waves and also provide spectacular sunrise views at all times. And, from the heights of Ponta Beach House these views are unrivalled, as are the perfect sunsets.

The house is fully serviced and includes all the necessary utilities and comforts for cooking, eating and relaxing etc.

The house is perched on the crest of the undulating coastal dunes. This section of the coastal dunes remains one of the area’s best-kept secrets, with incredible 360 degree views from the house adding to the breath-taking magic of the scene. The living areas, bedrooms and spacious deck boast sweeping views of the unspoiled coastline stretching across to the Ponta do Ouro peninsula dune, the main beach, and boat launching area.

The undisturbed indigenous dune vegetation that surrounds the house provides perfect seclusion and complete privacy and peace to relax at the house or swim in the surf in front of the house. A key differentiator of our house is that you can escape the hustle and bustle of either the Ponta do Ouro or Ponta Malongane villages when back at the house under the shade of Milkwood trees. But, when you do want to explore the restaurants and bars, the village of Ponta is very close being less than a kilometer walk or drive.

On the deck keep an eye out for playful dolphins, migratory birds, or dive boats that are hard at work on the various dive sites in the area. During the latter part of the year, whales skirt this part of the coast and put on a real show for their spectators.

We trust that you will decide to say at Ponta Beach House for a while and experience what many guests have described as one of the best holiday rental houses in both Ponta do Ouro and Ponta Malongane.

We have fondly named the beach house “Dolphins and Dunes” because of the dolphin spotting opportunities available from the main deck area. Diving can be arranged with Ponta Do Oura’s many excellent dive operators; a short distance away.

Not to miss:

  • A visit at Fernando’s bar near the market and town centre – have an R&R (local Rum and Rasberry juice). But only one!
  • A visit to Florestinas for the best prawn cakes and peri peri chicken in town! Florestinas is locally owned and situated across from the Motel.
  • Take a drive to Ponta Malongane and stop off at one of the many bars in front of a beautiful fresh water lake. Time your trip in order to watch a world class sunset with a 2M beer (local beer) in hand.
  • Contact one of the dive operators in the area and arrange for a swim with the dolphins or a diving trip.

Tips & advice:

  • Fresh vegetables as well as lovely local bread rolls can be purchased at the market.
  • Be sure to support the local businesses.
  • Service is slow in most places – do not be in a rush. Remember; you’re doing it the Ponta way!
